The Lost Circus

VAULT Festival, London

Deep beneath Waterloo Station, the ghosts of a circus lost in a railway disaster are still performing. Trapped beneath the station, their never-ending carnival waits for the moment when a crack in time opens and a new audience finds its way inside.

Every fifty years, visitors are drawn into their forgotten world and led through a circus that has never quite ended. The Lost Circus combined aerial performance, acrobatics and physical theatre in an immersive production filled with mystery, spectacle and a sense of another time.
